Ingredients
- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup water (as needed)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the sourdough starter, flour, and salt until combined.
- Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Gradually add water until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into balls and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Roll out each ball into thin circles.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each tortilla for about 1-2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- Keep the tortillas in a covered container to maintain softness.
Notes
Keep your work surface lightly floured to avoid sticking. Adjust water as needed for dough consistency.
