Description
Deliciously soft cookies that blend the warm flavors of banana bread with chocolate chips and pecans, creating a delightful treat.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 ripe bananas
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Begin by browning the butter in a pan over medium heat. Watch it melt and bubble until it turns a delightful golden brown. Once ready, transfer it to a heatproof bowl to cool slightly.
- Preheat your oven to 325ºF and prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- In a large bowl, take your ripe bananas and mash them until smooth. Stir in the brown butter, both sugars, and vanilla extract. Mix until fluffy.
- Combine the dry ingredients—flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon—in a separate bowl. Gradually mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture just until combined; avoid overmixing to maintain cookie softness.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cookie batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing at least 1.5 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-18 minutes or until the edges begin to brown. Allow the cookies to cool slightly before enjoying these heavenly bites.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for best results. Allow the butter to cool slightly before mixing.
