Description

A delightful fusion of classic burgers and taco elements, featuring juicy smash burger patties wrapped in flour tortillas with zesty burger sauce and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1/2 teaspoon pickle juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 6 street taco-sized flour tortillas
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, burger pickles, optional bacon, thin white onions

Instructions

  1. Combine all burger sauce ingredients in a small bowl and stir until mixed evenly. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix ground beef with kosher salt and black pepper gently.
  3. Divide seasoned beef into six equal portions, rolling each into a ball.
  4. Gather tortillas, cheese, and toppings near your cooking area for convenience.
  5. Preheat a flat top griddle to medium-high heat and place balls of ground beef on it.
  6. Flatten each ball into patties using a burger press for about 15-20 seconds.
  7. Cook patties undisturbed for 40 seconds, then flip them.
  8. Place a slice of cheese on each patty and add tortillas to the griddle.
  9. Close the lid and let the burgers cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  10. Flip the tortillas and use a spatula to lift patties onto the toasted tortillas.
  11. Top tacos with shredded lettuce, burger sauce, and burger pickles, adding bacon or onions if desired.

Notes

To enhance flavor, experiment with different toppings and be sure to preheat the cooking surface for best results.
