Description
A comforting Slow Cooker Pot Roast made with Lipton Onion Soup Mix, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
- Spray Oil for Crockpot
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 pounds of roast or flank steak
- 1 cup of water
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 2 packages of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 6 potatoes, cut into large chunks
- 6-8 carrots, cut into large pieces
- Salt and pepper (optional)
- 4 celery stalks (optional)
Instructions
- Mix one cup of water, one can of cream of mushroom soup, two packages of dry onion soup mix, and minced garlic in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- Layer the onion slices at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the beef roast on top of the onions and pour half of the soup mixture over the meat.
- Toss the potatoes and carrots into the slow cooker, then drizzle the remaining soup mixture over them.
- Secure the lid and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours.
Notes
For thicker gravy, reserve some liquid and whisk in cornstarch before returning it to the pot. Consider searing the meat for added flavor.
