Description
A beautifully glazed ham slow-cooked with brown sugar and pineapple for a sweet and tangy holiday centerpiece.
Ingredients
- Fully cooked ham (preferably boneless)
- 1 cup brown sugar (to create that caramelized flavor)
- Pineapple rings (canned or fresh)
- Glaze ingredients (such as honey or maple syrup)
- A pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the slow cooker: Lightly coat the bottom with half of the brown sugar mix.
- Lay the ham: Place the ham on top of the sugar layer, cut into sections if necessary for fitting.
- Add the glaze: Spread the remaining brown sugar on top and drizzle with honey or syrup.
- Layer with pineapple: Arrange the pineapple rings on top of the ham and pour a bit of the pineapple juice for added moisture.
- Cook slowly: Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 4-6 hours or until heated through.
Notes
Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing to retain moisture. Adjust cooking time according to the size of the ham.
