A comforting and hearty slow-cooked beef dish with tender chuck roast, vegetables, and rich broth that brings families together.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 potatoes, cut into chunks
- 4 carrots, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper, then place it on top of the onions.
- Add the potatoes and carrots around the roast.
- In a bowl, mix the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then pour it over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- Once cooked, remove the beef and slice it, then serve with the vegetables.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider searing the beef before placing it in the slow cooker. Customize vegetables to your preference.
