Ingredients

  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • ½ Tsp Black Ground Pepper
  • ½ Tsp Thyme (dried)
  • ¼ Cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • ½ Cup Chicken Stock
  • 1 Tsp Tomato Paste
  • 3 lbs. Ground Turkey
  • 1 Cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • ½ Cup Ketchup


Instructions

  1. Sauté the onion in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Add salt, black pepper, and thyme. Cook for about five minutes.
  2. Add tomato paste and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Deglaze the skillet with Worcestershire sauce and chicken stock. Stir to combine and let cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, and cooled onion mixture. Mix gently.
  5. Transfer to a prepared baking sheet or loaf pan, shaping into a loaf. Spread ketchup over the top.
  6. Bake in preheated oven at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

For added moisture, consider incorporating grated vegetables like carrots or zucchini into the mixture.
