Ingredients
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tsp Salt
- ½ Tsp Black Ground Pepper
- ½ Tsp Thyme (dried)
- ¼ Cup Worcestershire Sauce
- ½ Cup Chicken Stock
- 1 Tsp Tomato Paste
- 3 lbs. Ground Turkey
- 1 Cup Breadcrumbs
- 2 Eggs (beaten)
- ½ Cup Ketchup
Instructions
- Sauté the onion in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Add salt, black pepper, and thyme. Cook for about five minutes.
- Add tomato paste and cook for an additional minute.
- Deglaze the skillet with Worcestershire sauce and chicken stock. Stir to combine and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, and cooled onion mixture. Mix gently.
- Transfer to a prepared baking sheet or loaf pan, shaping into a loaf. Spread ketchup over the top.
- Bake in preheated oven at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
