A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring roasted jalapenos for an explosion of flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or cream cheese recommended)
- 2-3 roasted jalapenos, sliced
- Butter for spreading
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
- Layer with sliced cheese and roasted jalapenos.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra heat, consider adding more jalapenos or trying different cheeses. Use milder varieties for a less spicy option.
