Description

Learn how to make delicious roasted Brussels sprouts with our easy recipe. Perfectly crispy and flavorful, these veggies are a must-try!

Ingredients

  • 454 g Brussels sprouts, trimmed
  • Vegetable oil, for drizzling
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice, plus 10 ml zest
  • 15 ml grated Parmesan cheese, or 28 g shaved
  • 15 ml fresh thyme leaves
  • Fresh parsley leaves, for garnish
  • Pinch red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and prepare a baking sheet by covering it with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half and coat them with a drizzle of vegetable oil, a sprinkle of sea salt, and a dash of freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Arrange them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the Brussels sprouts for 20 to 30 minutes, or until they become soft and have a golden-brown hue on the edges. The cooking time may vary based on the size of the sprouts.
  5. Optionally, mix the roasted Brussels sprouts with fresh lemon juice, zest, grated Parmesan cheese, and thyme leaves.
  6. Finish by adding fresh parsley leaves and a pinch of red pepper flakes as a garnish.

Notes

  • Try using shaved Parmesan cheese instead of grated for a more intense flavor.
  • Ensure Brussels sprouts are evenly spaced on the baking sheet to roast evenly.
  • Experiment with herbs like rosemary or sage for a unique twist.
