Description

Delightful ricotta chocolate chip pastry squares, combining creamy ricotta and rich chocolate chips wrapped in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 9 tablespoons (135g) ricotta cheese
  • 9 tablespoons (126g) chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coarse/turbinado/demerara sugar
  • 1 egg, whisked


Instructions

  1. Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a clean surface and slice into 9 even squares.
  2. Transfer each square to a parchment-lined baking pan.
  3. Add about 1 tablespoon of ricotta cheese to the center of each square.
  4. Brush the exposed pastry edges with the whisked egg.
  5. Sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips onto each ricotta-filled square.
  6. Sprinkle sugar on top of each square.
  7. Bake at 350°F (177°C) for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use dark chocolate chips. Serve warm for the best experience.
