Description
Delightful ricotta chocolate chip pastry squares, combining creamy ricotta and rich chocolate chips wrapped in flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
- 9 tablespoons (135g) ricotta cheese
- 9 tablespoons (126g) chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coarse/turbinado/demerara sugar
- 1 egg, whisked
Instructions
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a clean surface and slice into 9 even squares.
- Transfer each square to a parchment-lined baking pan.
- Add about 1 tablespoon of ricotta cheese to the center of each square.
- Brush the exposed pastry edges with the whisked egg.
- Sprinkle approximately 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips onto each ricotta-filled square.
- Sprinkle sugar on top of each square.
- Bake at 350°F (177°C) for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can use dark chocolate chips. Serve warm for the best experience.
