Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring juicy chicken thighs in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce. Perfect for a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 0.5 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Mix salt, garlic powder, sweet paprika, and curry powder. Marinate chicken thighs with this mix and Greek yogurt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook marinated chicken until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and onion until translucent.
  4. Add tomato sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir until combined.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and add cayenne pepper and garam masala. Stir until smooth.
  6. Return chicken to the sauce and simmer for 15-20 minutes over low heat.
  7. Finish with an additional tablespoon of butter and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with warm naan bread and steamed rice. Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat gently.
