Description

Learn how to make a delicious Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry in minutes! This quick and easy recipe is perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves – minced (15 ml)
  • 1 cup chopped white onion (240 ml)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (454 g)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets – chopped small (360 g)
  • 1 cup honey garlic sauce (240 ml)
  • 4 cups cooked rice – to serve with (960 ml)

Instructions

  1. Warm a skillet on medium heat. Pour in a tablespoon of olive oil, then add the three minced garlic cloves and a cup of chopped onion. Sauté until the onion becomes see-through, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Introduce the pound of lean ground beef into the pan. Crumble it and cook until it loses its pink color, which should be about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Toss in the three cups of broccoli florets and mix everything together. Cook until the broccoli is slightly soft when pierced with a fork, around 3-4 minutes, achieving a “crisp tender” texture.
  4. Drizzle one cup of honey garlic sauce over the mixture and blend well. Allow it to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, ensuring the sauce is thoroughly warmed and the broccoli becomes tender.
  5. Place rice into bowls, then top with the ground beef and broccoli mixture. Serve and savor!

Notes

  • Consider using ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Enhance the dish with vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
  • Add a spicy kick with red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
