Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (120 g)
- 1/2 cup chopped celery (75 g)
- 3 cups cooked chopped turkey (450 g)
- 2 jars (12 oz each) beef gravy (340 g each)
- 1 package (12 oz) mixed vegetables (340 g)
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix) (60 ml)
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (1 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper (1 g)
- 2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix (270 g)
- 2/3 cup milk (160 ml)
- 1/4 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix) (60 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (0.5 g)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, warm the vegetable oil over medium-high heat; sauté the onion and celery for around 2 minutes. Incorporate all other filling components, stirring well. Transfer the mixture into a 9×12 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, milk, pumpkin, and herbs, mixing thoroughly until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of this dough over the turkey mixture in the dish.
- Bake without covering for 45 to 55 minutes or until the biscuit layer turns golden brown. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
