A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with a spread of vibrant pesto, creamy cheese, and crispy bread.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Spread pesto on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place a slice of cheese on the non-pesto side of one slice of bread.
- Top with the second slice of bread, pesto side down.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
- Once melted, add the sandwich to the skillet.
- Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and enjoy!
