Ingredients

  • Ground beef, 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams)
  • Wonton wrappers, 30 pieces
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded, 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams)
  • Monterey Jack cheese, shredded, 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams)
  • Beef bacon, cooked and crumbled, 1/2 cup (120 ml) (60 grams)
  • Green onions, chopped, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (25 grams)
  • Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (2 grams)
  • Onion powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (2 grams)
  • Salt, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (3 grams)
  • Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (1 gram)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying


Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  2. Drain excess fat from the cooked beef.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the beef.
  4. Stir the beef mixture until well combined and set aside to cool.
  5. In a large bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, crumbled beef bacon, and chopped green onions.
  6. Add the cooled beef mixture to the cheese and bacon mixture.
  7. Mix all ingredients until evenly combined.
  8. Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface.
  9. Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.
  10. Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper with water.
  11. Fold the wrapper over the filling to form a triangle and press edges to seal.
  12. Repeat the filling and folding process with remaining wonton wrappers.
  13. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
