Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 4 cups frozen hash browns
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs like parsley or chives for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and layer the frozen hash browns on the bottom.
  4. Add the cooked sausage, diced bell pepper, and onion.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  6. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the layered ingredients.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and refrigerate overnight.
