- 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 large Egg (optional, for binding)
- 1 cup Cheese (for sprinkling on top)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Prepare a baking sheet by lightly greasing it or using parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Brush olive oil on both sides of the cabbage slices.
- Combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg (if using) in a large bowl. Mix until well blended.
- Place a generous portion of the meat mixture on each cabbage slice, forming a patty.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the cabbage is tender and the meat is fully cooked.
- Sprinkle cheese on top during the last few minutes of baking, allowing it to melt perfectly.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Consider using parchment paper for easy cleanup. Sautéing the onions and garlic can add extra flavor.
