Description

Learn how to make a delicious one-pot ground beef and macaroni dish that is quick, easy, and perfect for busy weeknights. Get the recipe now!

Ingredients

  • – 1-1/2 lbs. (680 g) lean ground beef
  • – 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) olive oil
  • – 2 cups (480 ml) uncooked elbow macaroni
  • – 1 small green pepper, diced
  • – 1 small onion, diced
  • – 1 15-oz can tomato sauce
  • – 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • – 1 tsp. (5 ml) salt
  • – 1/2 tsp. (2.5 ml) pepper
  • – 1 Tbsp. (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat until browned. Remove excess fat and transfer the beef to a separate dish.
  2. In the same pot, pour in the olive oil, then sauté the diced onion, green pepper, and uncooked macaroni. Stir occasionally until the onion and pepper begin to soften.
  3. Return the cooked beef to the pot, then incorporate the tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Place a lid on the pot and let it simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the macaroni reaches your desired tenderness.
  5. Serve the dish into bowls and savor! (Yields about 6 servings)

Notes

  • Consider using ground turkey or chicken for a lighter meal.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
  • Customize with vegetables like zucchini, mushrooms, or spinach for added nutrition.
