Description

A delicious and hearty no egg breakfast casserole made with ground sausage, bacon, and hash browns, perfect for brunch gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cups hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage and onions until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage mixture with hash browns, half of the shredded cheese, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.

Notes

For a cheesier dish, add an extra cup of shredded cheese; for a lighter version, substitute some cheese for a dairy-free alternative.
