A delicious and hearty no egg breakfast casserole made with ground sausage, bacon, and hash browns, perfect for brunch gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 cups hash browns
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage and onions until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage mixture with hash browns, half of the shredded cheese, salt, and black pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is golden brown.
Notes
For a cheesier dish, add an extra cup of shredded cheese; for a lighter version, substitute some cheese for a dairy-free alternative.
