Description

Delicious and tender steak bites cooked in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce using a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin or tenderloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari/coconut aminos for gluten-free)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (cornstarch slurry)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak bites on all sides (optional).
  2. Transfer seared steak to the slow cooker.
  3. Pour honey garlic sauce (mixed honey, soy sauce, garlic, and beef broth) over the steak.
  4. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours.
  5. If a thicker sauce is desired, stir in cornstarch slurry during the last 15 minutes of cooking.

Notes

Consider marinating the steak in the honey garlic mixture for a few hours to enhance flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
