Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound (454 g))
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (5 g)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup alfredo sauce (240 ml)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounce (113 g) s or 113 g)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated Parmesan cheese (2 ounce (57 g) s or 57 g)
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 2 tablespoon s unsalted butter, softened (28 g)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (15 g)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and hollow out the center, leaving a 1-inch border.
  3. Dice the chicken breasts into small, bite-sized pieces.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the diced chicken to the skillet.
  6. Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Cook the chicken until fully cooked and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
  8. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  9. In the same skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble it into small pieces.
  10. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, alfredo sauce, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  11. Mix until well combined.
  12. Fill the hollowed-out French bread halves with the chicken and alfredo mixture.
  13. Place the filled bread halves on a baking sheet.
  14. Spread softened butter over the tops of the bread halves.
  15. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  16. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  17. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.
  18. Cut into slices and serve warm.
