Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound (454 g))
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (5 g)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup alfredo sauce (240 ml)
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounce (113 g) s or 113 g)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) grated Parmesan cheese (2 ounce (57 g) s or 57 g)
- 1 loaf French bread
- 2 tablespoon s unsalted butter, softened (28 g)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (15 g)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and hollow out the center, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Dice the chicken breasts into small, bite-sized pieces.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced chicken to the skillet.
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook the chicken until fully cooked and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble it into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, alfredo sauce, shredded mozzarella, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Mix until well combined.
- Fill the hollowed-out French bread halves with the chicken and alfredo mixture.
- Place the filled bread halves on a baking sheet.
- Spread softened butter over the tops of the bread halves.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top.
- Cut into slices and serve warm.
