Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked paprika (5 grams)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces (227 g) beef strips, cooked and crumbled (225 grams)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (115 grams)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded mozzarella cheese (115 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ketchup (15 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) mustard (15 milliliters)
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 ounces (227 g) or 225 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame seeds (9 grams)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil (30 milliliters)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned.
  4. Season beef with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Stir in cooked and crumbled bacon, then remove pan from heat.
  6. In a bowl, combine cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  7. Add ketchup and mustard to the beef mixture, stirring to combine.
  8. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  9. Place a spoonful of beef mixture on the wide end of each dough triangle.
  10. Sprinkle cheese mixture over the beef on each triangle.
  11. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to enclose filling.
  12. Place rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  13. Brush each roll with beaten egg.
  14. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the rolls.
