Delightful mini pizza pot pies filled with gooey mozzarella, zesty pizza sauce, and savory toppings, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet refrigerated pie crust
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Nonstick spray or melted butter (for greasing)
- 6 small aluminum muffin tins or ramekins
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the refrigerated pie crust and cut out circles larger than the openings of your muffin tin.
- Press the dough circles into the greased tins, shaping them into cups.
- Add 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of pizza sauce to each crust.
- Layer each cup with mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni, oregano, and garlic powder.
- If there’s room, add more cheese and other toppings.
- Cut smaller dough circles to cover each pie, sealing the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
- Optionally, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with toppings or make them vegetarian by adding vegetables like diced bell peppers or olives.
