A delightful and healthy alternative to traditional pasta, this million-dollar spaghetti squash pasta features layers of creamy ricotta, rich marinara, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 large spaghetti squash
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
- Place the squash halves cut-side down on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes or until the flesh is tender.
- Once cooked, use a fork to scrape the flesh into spaghetti-like strands.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti squash, half of the marinara sauce, and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat the layers.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
