Description
A comforting and creamy casserole featuring ground turkey, cheeses, and a crispy Ritz cracker topping.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 8 ounces small shelled pasta
- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup cottage cheese, or substitute with whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1.5 cups milk
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- 2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crumbled
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground turkey in a frying pan, lightly seasoning with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, milk, and ranch seasoning. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cook the small shell pasta according to package instructions.
- While the noodles boil, crush the Ritz crackers and mix them with the melted butter.
- Drain the pasta and mix it with the ground turkey and cheese sauce.
- Layer half of the buttered Ritz cracker mixture in a baking dish.
- Spread the turkey and noodle mixture on top of the crackers, followed by the remaining buttered crumbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top turns golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
