Description

A quick and easy method to create a moist and fluffy bread using the microwave tangzhong technique.


Ingredients

  • 125 g liquid (water, milk, or nut milk)


Instructions

  1. Combine 25 g of bread flour with 125 g of your chosen liquid in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval.
  3. Continue microwaving until the mixture thickens and reaches a temperature of 145-150°F (63-65°C), typically about 3-5 rounds.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tangzhong overnight, ensuring it cools to room temperature before use.

Notes

Use fresh flour and high-quality liquids for the best results. Allow the tangzhong to rest overnight to enhance performance.
