Description

Discover how to make Loaded Tater Tot Skewers with our easy recipe. Learn tips to create crispy, cheesy skewers that are perfect for your next party or snack time!

Ingredients

  • 15 skewers I suggest using the thinner ones
  • 1 package of tater tots or Mc Cain Tasty taters
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sour cream You will use some for serving
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) ranch dressing
  • 4-6 slices cooked beef bacon
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded marble cheese Generous cup
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) chopped green onions About 6 shoots
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your tater tots following the directions on the packaging.
  2. While the tots are cooking, fry the bacon until crispy, then let it cool before chopping it into small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. Shred the marble cheese or opt for pre-shredded cheese, and finely chop the green onions.
  4. After the tater tots are cooked, sprinkle them with salt and pepper, and allow them to rest for a moment until they are cool enough to handle for skewering, but don’t wait too long.
  5. Increase the oven temperature to broil.
  6. Thread 6 tater tots onto each skewer, ensuring there’s room at both ends for easy handling, then arrange the skewers on a baking tray.
  7. Coat each skewer with a blend of sour cream and ranch dressing.
  8. Generously sprinkle shredded cheese over each skewer, ensuring every tater tot is well-covered.
  9. Add the chopped bacon pieces and sliced green onions on top.
  10. Broil the skewers in the oven for 2-3 minutes, watching them closely to prevent burning.
  11. Serve right away with a side of sour cream for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure beef bacon is crispy for a satisfying crunchnGenerously use shredded marble cheese for optimal meltingnCool tater tots slightly before skewering to maintain softness
