Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) ground beef (450 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil (15 milliliters)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) barbecue sauce (120 milliliters)
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (115 grams)
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded moz zarella cheese (115 grams)
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) cooked beef bacon, chopped (75 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) diced red onion (40 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) diced pickles (40 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder (5 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder (5 grams)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (2.5 grams)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt (2.5 grams)
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Optional : Lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and ranch dressing for serving
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir in the barbecue sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt with the beef.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.
- Remove the beef mixture from the skillet and set aside.
- Clean the skillet and place it back on medium heat.
- Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over half of the tortilla.
- Top the cheese with a spoonful of the beef mixture.
- Add a layer of chopped beef bacon, diced red onion, and diced pickles on top.
- Sprinkle more cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the fillings.
- Fold the tortilla in half to enclose the filling.
- Place the folded tortilla in the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly before slicing into rolls.
- Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
- Serve the quesadilla rolls with optional lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and ranch dressing.
