Description

A flavorful twist on classic meatloaf, infused with spicy jalapeños and creamy cheeses for a unique and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef (or preferred ground meat)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2-3 fresh jalapeños, diced (adjust to taste)
  • 0.5 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 0.5 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar, cream cheese, diced jalapeños, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix by hand until ingredients are just combined, avoiding overmixing.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  5. Spread ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Adjust the jalapeño quantity based on your heat tolerance. Pair with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
