Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice, soaked and drained
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 14 oz coconut milk (1¾ cups)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (granulated)
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • Sesame seeds (for serving, optional)


Instructions

  1. Add the soaked and drained rice into the Instant Pot.
  2. Pour in 1/2 cup of water and 14 oz of coconut milk.
  3. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons of kosher salt over the mixture.
  4. Stir the ingredients to combine them well.
  5. Close the lid securely, ensuring the pressure valve is set to sealing.
  6. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  7. Once the cooking time is complete, perform a quick pressure release by turning the valve to venting.
  8. Carefully open the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
