Ingredients
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (or bacon), cooked and crumbled
- 6 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 3 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Non-stick spray or butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish using non-stick spray or butter.
- In a large skillet, cook the breakfast sausage or bacon over medium heat until fully browned and crispy. Drain excess fat and crumble the meat into small pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Add the thawed hash browns, cooked sausage or bacon, cheddar cheese, and green onions to the egg mixture. Stir gently until evenly combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is set and the top has turned a golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
