Learn how to make hot honey feta chicken that’s both sweet and spicy in just 30 minutes! This easy recipe is perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 450 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) all-purpose flour (30 grams)
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil (30 milliliters)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) honey (170 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) hot sauce (15 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) apple cider vinegar (15 milliliters)
  • 4 ounces (113 g) crumbled cheese (115 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped fresh parsley (8 grams)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. While the chicken is cooking, mix the honey, sriracha sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
  8. Once the chicken is seared, pour the honey mixture over the chicken in the skillet.
  9. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken.
  10. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is slightly melted.
  12. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
  13. Sprinkle the crushed red pepper flakes over the chicken.
  14. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  15. Serve the hot honey feta chicken immediately.

Notes

  • For a crunchier chicken coating, try dredging it twice in the flour mixture before cooking.
  • Experiment with alternative cheeses like goat or blue cheese for a unique flavor profile.
  • Adjust the hot sauce quantity to suit your desired level of spiciness.
