Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (60 g)

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (3 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (3 g)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (12 g)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (57 g)
  • 1/4 cup honey (85 g)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (30 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (2 g)
  • Vegetable oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and baking powder.
  4. Toss the chicken wings in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the wings in batches for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove the wings and drain on paper towels.
  8. Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
