Description

A tender and flavorful honey glazed ham perfect for holiday gatherings and special occasions, coated with a luscious glaze that creates unforgettable memories.

Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in spiral ham (8 lbs)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Bayou City Lemon Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a shallow roasting pan, layer orange slices on the bottom and pour orange juice over them.
  3. Place roasting rack inside and rest the ham on top.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, orange marmalade, and salt. Stir until combined, then bring to a bubble and simmer for 4 minutes.
  5. Pour half of the glaze over the ham and bake uncovered for 50 minutes.
  6. Pour remaining glaze over the ham and bake for an additional 20 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
  7. Remove from oven, tent with foil, and let rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
  8. Serve with the remaining glaze on the side.

Notes

Baste the ham every 20 minutes with glaze for even caramelization. If desired, add spices during basting for more flavor.
