Description

Delicious homemade waffles with a perfect blend of crispiness and fluffiness, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until blended.
  3. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the eggs, stirring to combine.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, gently stirring just until combined.
  5. Lightly spray the waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Pour the recommended amount of batter into the center of the preheated waffle iron.
  7. Close the lid and cook until the waffle is golden brown and crisp.
  8. Carefully remove the waffle and repeat with the remaining batter.

Notes

Consider adding spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor. Store leftover batter in the refrigerator for up to two days.
