Description

Delicious and nutritious homemade protein bars that combine almond flour, Medjool dates, and dark chocolate for a healthy energy boost.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 cup Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dairy-free caramel sauce


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix almond flour, maple syrup, and almond butter until combined to form a nougat layer.
  2. Spread the nougat mixture evenly in a lined baking dish.
  3. Process the Medjool dates and coconut oil in a food processor until smooth, then spread this caramel layer over the nougat.
  4. Sprinkle chopped almonds over the caramel layer.
  5. Melt dark chocolate chips and pour over the top.
  6. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set.
  7. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

Chill for at least 1-2 hours for best results. Experiment with toppings like sea salt for enhanced flavor.
