Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Filling of your choice (ground meat, shrimp, vegetables, etc.)
- Soy sauce for serving
Instructions
- Combine the flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Gradually add water, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each one into a thin circle.
- Place a small amount of your chosen filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal.
- Cook by steaming, boiling, or pan-frying. For steaming, place in a steamer and cook for about 15 minutes. For boiling, cook in boiling water until they float. For pan-frying, cook in a hot pan with a bit of oil until golden brown.
- Serve with soy sauce.
Notes
Experiment with different fillings to personalize your dumplings. Make sure to not overcrowd when cooking.
