Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Whisk together melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well combined.
- Gradually stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish.
- Mix together ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl and sprinkle it evenly over the first layer of batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top.
- Swirl the batter gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla while the cake is baking.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm cake after it has cooled slightly.
