Description

A delightful homemade cinnamon roll cake that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls with a fluffy cake base, perfect for brunch or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk together melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl until well combined.
  4. Gradually stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish.
  6. Mix together ground cinnamon and brown sugar in a small bowl and sprinkle it evenly over the first layer of batter.
  7. Pour the remaining batter on top.
  8. Swirl the batter gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla while the cake is baking.
  11. Drizzle the icing over the warm cake after it has cooled slightly.
