A nutritious and flavorful snack that combines rolled oats, nut butter, and protein powder for a perfect energy boost.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup protein powder
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats and protein powder together.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, warm the peanut butter and honey/maple syrup until melted, about 30 seconds.
- Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until fully combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Line a baking dish with parchment paper, and press the mixture evenly into the dish.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour to set.
- Cut into bars and enjoy!
