These healthy banana brownies are a guilt-free dessert that combines ripe bananas, cocoa powder, and Greek yogurt for a fudgy treat you can enjoy without the guilt.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas (mashed, about 1 cup)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt (or applesauce)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup oat flour (or almond flour for grain-free option)
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
- Add eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, oat flour, baking soda, and salt to form a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the center is set.
- Cool completely, then slice into 9 brownies.
Notes
For the fudgiest texture, do not overbake. You can use nuts or chocolate chips for added texture. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
