Description

These healthy banana brownies are a guilt-free dessert that combines ripe bananas, cocoa powder, and Greek yogurt for a fudgy treat you can enjoy without the guilt.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas (mashed, about 1 cup)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt (or applesauce)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup oat flour (or almond flour for grain-free option)
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla; mix until combined.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, oat flour, baking soda, and salt to form a smooth batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. Cool completely, then slice into 9 brownies.

Notes

For the fudgiest texture, do not overbake. You can use nuts or chocolate chips for added texture. Store in an airtight container for up to three days.
