Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454 g) lean ground beef
  • 1 cup (240 ml) diced yellow onions
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced garlic
  • 5 oz (298 g) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) onion powder
  • 4 cup (960 ml) froz en cut green beans
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (240 ml) French’s crispy fried onions


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 375°F to preheat.
  2. Place the lean ground beef in a large pan on medium-high heat.
  3. Introduce the diced yellow onions to the pan, stirring and breaking up the beef as it cooks.
  4. Once the beef is no longer pink, remove excess fat from the pan.
  5. Mix in the minced garlic and continue to cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup and milk in the pan, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
  7. Incorporate the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and onion powder, stirring thoroughly.
  8. Add the frozen cut green beans to the pan.
  9. Stir well and allow a few minutes for the green beans to warm up.
  10. Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish generously with cooking spray.
  11. Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  12. Distribute the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  13. Place the dish in the preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes.
  14. Afterward, take the dish out of the oven and sprinkle the crispy fried onions on top.
  15. Put the dish back into the oven, baking until the onions are slightly browned, about 5 more minutes.
  16. Once done, take the casserole out of the oven and let it rest briefly.
