Description
A warm, gooey Philly cheesesteak made with ground beef, sautéed onions, and provolone cheese, all served in toasted hoagie rolls.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers (if using) and sauté until they are soft. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese over the beef mixture in the skillet and allow it to melt.
- Toast the hoagie rolls, then fill each roll with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Philly cheesesteaks!
