Description
Delicious grilled steak and shrimp skewers drizzled with garlic butter, perfect for summer gatherings or cozy family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for marinating steak and shrimp)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted for the sauce)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt (for seasoning the sauce)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed sirloin steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- While the steak marinates, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper in another bowl. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the parsley, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
- Thread the marinated steak and shrimp onto skewers, alternating between the two. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand to prevent burning.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until the steak reaches desired doneness and the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove the skewers from the grill and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
Use fresh herbs for garnish and avoid overcrowding the skewers for even cooking.
