Description

A comforting dish that combines melty cheese and savory beef patties, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal-style steak seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 6 slices Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning; mix until thoroughly combined.
  2. Form the mixture into three equal patties.
  3. Heat a nonstick griddle over medium heat.
  4. Place burgers onto the warm griddle and cook to desired doneness, about 4 to 6 minutes per side.
  5. Remove burgers from the griddle and set aside.
  6. Warm a second griddle over medium heat. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  7. Place half of the bread onto the griddle, buttered-side down. Add a slice of cheese, a burger, and a second slice of cheese to each, then top with the remaining bread, buttered-side up.
  8. Cook until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted, about 6 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating herbs like oregano or basil, or spices like cayenne pepper. Experiment with different cheese for unique flavors.
