Ingredients

  • 454 g (1 lb) lean ground beef
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) finely chopped garlic
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) steak sauce
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) steak seasoning
  • 30 g (2 tbsp) vegetable oil
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. Mix the ground beef with parsley, garlic, steak sauce, and steak seasoning in a bowl until everything is well blended. Shape the mixture into three even patties.
  2. Preheat a nonstick griddle over medium heat. Place the patties on the hot griddle and cook them to your preferred level of doneness, approximately 4 to 6 minutes on each side. Ensure that the internal temperature reaches at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C) using a thermometer. Set the cooked patties aside.
  3. Heat another griddle over medium heat. Spread vegetable oil on one side of each bread slice. Arrange half of the bread slices onto the griddle with the oiled side facing down. Layer a slice of cheese, a patty, and another slice of cheese on each piece, then cover with the remaining bread slices, oiled side facing up.
  4. Grill until the bread achieves a golden brown color and the cheese is thoroughly melted, about 6 to 10 minutes, turning them over halfway through the cooking process.
