Ingredients
- 1 lb (454 g) boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 cup (240 ml) sweet baby rays barbecue sauce
- 12 slices beef bacon
- 1 sliced red onion
- 2 sliced kosher pickles
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s whole milk
- 1 cup (240 ml) flour
Instructions
- Warm up the deep fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Begin by slicing the chicken breast into six equal portions and flatten them to about half an inch in thickness.
- In a bowl, combine the eggs with milk, and place the flour in a separate dish.
- Coat the chicken pieces first in the egg-milk blend, then dredge them in flour. Set them aside until the fryer is heated.
- Meanwhile, fry the beef bacon in a pan until it reaches a crispy texture, and slice the red onion. Simmer the barbecue sauce in a saucepan until it’s warm.
- Fry the chicken in the deep fryer for 4 to 7 minutes until thoroughly cooked, then set aside.
- In a skillet, lightly toast the hamburger buns and set them aside.
- Coat the cooked chicken in warm barbecue sauce, then assemble the sandwiches.
