Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup (90 g) all-purpose flour
- 480 ml milk
- 720 ml chicken broth
- 480 ml cooked, boneless and skinless beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 120 ml chopped green chile peppers
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pinch garlic powder
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Gradually add in the flour and mix until a smooth paste forms. Slowly pour in the milk and chicken broth, whisking continuously to ensure the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
- Allow the mixture to come to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer.
- Introduce the cooked beef into the pot. Add the chopped green chile peppers, along with a pinch of salt, pepper, and garlic powder to suit your taste.
- Mix everything thoroughly, cover the pot, and let it gently simmer for 30 minutes before serving.
