A classic holiday dish combining tender green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crunchy fried onions, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup French fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil green beans in salted water until crisp-tender; drain well.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk.
- In a large baking dish, mix drained green beans with soup mixture.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese and half of the French fried onions.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then add remaining French fried onions on top.
- Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
