Description

A classic holiday dish combining tender green beans, creamy mushroom soup, and crunchy fried onions, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup French fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil green beans in salted water until crisp-tender; drain well.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk.
  4. In a large baking dish, mix drained green beans with soup mixture.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and half of the French fried onions.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, then add remaining French fried onions on top.
  7. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a creamier texture, consider adding sour cream or cream cheese. Adjust seasoning to enhance flavor.
