Ingredients

- Parmesan cheese, grated, 1/2 cup (120 ml) (50 grams)
- Cheddar cheese, shredded, 1 cup (240 ml) (115 grams)
- Moz zarella cheese, sliced, 4 slices
- Butter, 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (28 grams)
- All-purpose flour, 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (15 grams)
- Milk, 1 cup (240 ml) (240 milliliters)
- Elb ow macaroni, 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams)
- Bread crumbs, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (30 grams)
- Olive oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters)
- Beef bacon, 8 slices
- Hamburger buns, 4
- Lettuce leaves, 4
- Tomato, sliced, 1 large
- Onion, sliced, 1 small
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain.
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened.
- Add cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce in the saucepan.
- Sprinkle bread crumbs over the macaroni and cheese.
- Transfer the pot to the oven and bake for 10 minutes until the top is golden.
- Meanwhile, season ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Form the seasoned beef into 4 equal patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook beef patties for 4-5 minutes per side until fully cooked.
- In another pan, cook bacon slices until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- Place mozzarella slices on each beef patty and cover until cheese melts.
- Toast hamburger buns in the oven or on a skillet until golden brown.
- Assemble the burger by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun.
- Add a slice of tomato and a slice of onion on top of the lettuce.
- Place the cheesy beef patty on top of the vegetables.
- Add two slices of crispy bacon on each beef patty.
- Spoon a generous amount of macaroni and cheese onto each patty.
- Top with the other half of the bun.
