Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 g)
- 1/2 cup clarified butter (115 g)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lime zest
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh dill
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
- Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes on one side.
- Flip the shrimp and cook for another 2 minutes until pink and opaque.
- Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.
- Once butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in lemon juice and lemon zest, mixing well.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
- Add chopped parsley and dill, and stir to combine.
- Cook for 1 minute to heat through and blend flavors.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra herbs if desired.

- For a richer flavor, use unsalted butter and adjust salt to taste.
